Really special wellness haven in a great location. The owner is a nutrition and holistic health expert who is always so helpful. I've had nothing but amazing and positive experiences at NAO.

Nikki & Ellie came to my workplace to present a workshop on how to stay healthy while working a demanding job. The event was extremely well attended, with over 50 women who wanted to come learn about the topic. They were super informative...

Unwellness at work is incredibly costly. Companies lost billions to the impacts of poor physical and mental health.
Starbucks spends more money on health care for employees than coffee beans every year. Every year.
In Mark Hyman’s New York Times Best Selling Book, ‘Food Fix’ he states that “the direct health care cost for chronic health conditions was $1.1 trillion in 2016 or 5.8 of our US gross domestic product. The indirect costs, including just, lost income and reduced productivity were another $3.7 trillion, or one in five dollars of our whole economy.”
I’d like to suggest an idea: instead of reacting after the damage is already done, why don’t we fix the reason why we have these costs in the first place?
Healthier humans make happier, more productive employees. Great leaders know their employees are their biggest asset and they get that investing in their well-being pays off in the long run. Wellness in the workplace is finally smart, and it’s also proof positive that you care.
Our programs help to incentivize recruitment and retention by giving your team easy access to healthy tools and resources that will help get them moving, stave off illness and depress healthcare costs.

The Beautiful Lessons of Eating Disorder Recovery
Hear Katie Share her Journey into Recovery
"At the start of my recovery journey, I resented my eating disorder so much. I wanted nothing more than to be “normal” and not have all these “problems.” And I thought that recovery was pretty clear cut in that ok if I just follow the plan, I won’t have my ED anymore. Simple. And when I wasn’t acting out, it felt like I was normal enough because I denied there were any issues going on. Because I used recovery as a band aid that helped me ignore what was happening deep within me, I wasn’t really healing and would always end up acting out through the food and then punishing myself. I would spend hours cursing myself for not being stronger.
But then I realized that my recovery was teaching me so many lessons. Perfectionism, wild self love, resilience, and radical forgiveness are all things my ED was trying to show me. And I finally accepted that maybe recovery doesn't look one way. I changed my perspective and realized that maybe everything each time I “slipped up,” were the real steps to actually changing my relationship with food, my body and healing. I realized how much I could learn about my body and self through my ED. My body was begging for me to pay attention to her and was calling out for help through ED, and when I got in touch with that, I realized how out of touch I really was with myself. Through years of trial and error, I finally feel at home in my body and together we can get through anything life throws at us because we are a united front. "
This workshop is for anyone with an eating disorder, folks in recovery or recovered, disordered eating, body dysmorphia, questioning if you have one. All are welcome.
