Manifestations vs Resolutions

2020 is going to be a big year and instead of making the same old New Year’s resolutions, try something new. I think we can all admit that we’ve made resolutions only to just forget about them in like… 2 weeks. So instead of making new year’s resolutions try manifestation.

Manifesting is intentionally creating what you want throughout your life.  This means that whatever you focus on is what you are bringing into your reality. You may focus and manifest through meditation, visualization or just delving into your subconscious mind and better realizing what your desires are.

Everything happening in your life is a reflection of what is happening inside of you. Whatever you focus on will take shape and manifest into your daily life.

Energetically we are feeling a strong drive to put form and function around what might have seemed once like a far-off vision since we just had a new moon and solar eclipse on Dec 25/26 in Capricorn.  We’re finding new and practical ways to apply our full power in the world. The Capricorn New Moon opens up the possibility of weaving our lunar intentions with our New Year’s intentions.

This Moon’s energy is for reflection and a time for envisioning your future. As you look back on what you’ve accomplished this year, align with the vibrations of joy and gratitude. See how the dots are all connected, even the ones you didn’t understand at the time.. Taking this time to feel genuinely grateful for all that you’ve created in your life will raise your vibration and help you effortlessly attract the energy you need in 2020. This is the best sign for accomplishing your goals. Eclipses are very intense and their energy lasts up to 6 months.

Rather than looking at what’s “missing” in your life and then “trying” to make it happen,” this process puts you into the reality that “what you’ve asked for is already yours”.

Here is a quick tool that will help you open up to yourself and to receive the answers your soul already knows.

Close your eyes and Think of a few things  you most want to be celebrating in one year from now.  What goals do you want to accomplish and what brings you joy and connects you with your soul?

How can you turn it into your life’s work?

Once you have your answers,  drop your attention from your head to your heart, and with your full attention on the area around your heart, call up feelings of love, appreciation and gratitude (one at a time).

Once you have spent a few minutes feeling fully immersed in love, then imagine that you have fast-forwarded into the future.  It is now one year from today and you are looking back at all the miraculous ways you have manifested your dream(s).

How does that make you feel? Write it down. I especially like the practice of writing letters to my future self.

First, date the letter (Dec. 31, 2020) and then write “Dear ____, I am so excited to share with you…” And with as much feeling and detail as you can imagine, tell me the story of manifesting your dream.  Use your imagination to make up the details and be as specific as you want and just feel that joy of your dreams manifesting.

Once you are done with your letter, put it under your sacred altar or inside your favorite spiritual book.

Except… it’s not. 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐞’𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧… it’s not enough to just wish for things to change, you must take concrete action to see your visions realized. Be detailed; be precise. What do you want to change and how are you going to do it? This, coupled with positively affirming what your wishes, will bring about the changes you seek. They might not always be in the form you expect, but trust that it is for your highest good.
